Purpose:: It provides medical and nursing support before and after surgery, including monitoring, pain management, and wound care.
Patient Profile:: It accommodates patients undergoing planned or emergency abdominal, gastrointestinal, soft-tissue, and other surgical procedures.
Facilities and Care: Care includes preoperative preparation, vital-sign monitoring, medication, wound dressing, pain management, mobility assistance, and postoperative observation.
Medical Coordination:: The ward coordinates with surgeons, anaesthesia, operating theatre, laboratory, diagnostics, pharmacy, and ICU.
Safety and Infection Control::: Surgical safety, infection prevention, wound care, medication safety, hygiene, and biomedical waste-management practices are followed.
