Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) – 10 Beds
Capacity:: The NICU has 10 beds for newborns requiring specialized monitoring, treatment, and neonatal support.
Purpose:: It provides controlled and closely monitored care for premature, low-birth-weight, or medically vulnerable newborns.
Patient Profile:: It accommodates newborns with respiratory difficulties, feeding problems, temperature instability, infections, prematurity, low birth weight, and other neonatal conditions.
Facilities and Care: The unit provides neonatal monitoring, oxygen support, nutritional assistance, medication, temperature management, and other required treatments.
Medical Coordination:: The NICU coordinates with paediatric, labour and delivery, laboratory, pharmacy, diagnostic, and other relevant hospital services.
Safety and Infection Control::: Strict hand hygiene, equipment cleaning, environmental sanitation, safe handling, and infection-prevention measures are maintained.
Continuity of Care:: Newborns are assessed regularly and transferred to a lower level of care when stable, with parents receiving appropriate care and follow-up guidance.
